DAVID COOK WINS AMERICAN IDOL

And the winner is …

David Cook !!! Poor Archie!!! Shocker!!!

Really, I was a Carly fan, but out of these two, I was rooting for my little puppy David Archuleta.

Boy, American Idol pulled out all the stops tonight. The David’s doing Guitar Hero commercials(Loved Archie’s underpants Old Time Rock n Roll commercial), Cool 70s and 80s tunes. Robert Downey, Jr., Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Jordan Sparks, Some other stupid bands I don’t recognize, George Michael, Carrie Underwood, Free FORD hybrids for the David’s, The Love Guru, Bryan Adams (Who I just LOVE), Seal, Jimmy Kimmel (Loved his Sanjaya joke, btw!) Ex-Idols in flashy white outfits, Nash of CSNY, Donna Summer, Ford videos, a decent duet between the David’s … and my old favorite, the stupid rock n roll nurse.

LOST Recap: “There’s No Place Like Home” Part 1

The Oceanic 6 get off the island! Jack finds out that Claire is his sister! Sayid is reunited with the love of his life Nadia! But how is all of this possible? I’m on the edge of my seat and I can’t believe that I have to wait two more weeks until I find out how everything ends this season. Damn it!

Again, tonight’s episode was fantastic. I have been enjoying this season so much. But I still miss Charlie and wish that he could have been at Hurley’s Island-Themed birthday party his parents had for him after he was rescued. I miss the dynamic between those two so much.

Here are my personal favorite moments from tonight’s episode “There’s No Place Like Home, Part 1.”:

  1. Watching Sun’s miserable face as she lands in Hawaii. All I could do was cry and wonder just how Jin died. I loved it that she turned the tables in the future on her a-hole father and bought out his company from under him. You go girl. Big clue- she told him that he was one of two people responsible for Jin’s death … do I dare speculate that Michael is the other one …
  2. Sayid coming back for everyone on the small boat. God bless that man. He takes Jin and Sun and four other random nameless people to the freighter, where they run into Michael. But then the drama begins when the engine is found, and Desmond finds a rather large stack of dynomite. Is this the way Desmond dies, tragically, or is it Jin?
  3. The flash forward at Jack’s father’s funeral, where Claire’s mom breaks the bad news to Jack that he’s left his sister back on the island. Damn …. now we know why he’s popping pills like crazy, the guilt is killing him.
  4. The flash forward where Hurley’s dad gives him his birthday gift, the car that he fixed for him while Hurley was dead. Freaky moment when Hurley looks at the dashboard and those damn numbers are there. Oh, what do they mean?
  5. I loved the press conference where we learn the approximate location where the plan crashed, and we learned it took them ten months to get back to the states. And it was great how the press was so damn suspicious of the Oceanic 6. They brought up a great point when they asked Kate was she six months pregnant when she was captured by the US Marshall in Australia …. Hmmm …. Claire was like eight months pregnant when they crashed … and Desmond and Sayid were at the freighter around Christmastime, which was only three months after the crash … what happens to them in the meantime? Weird island travel?
  6. The Orchid … how will John Locke get the island to move? What will happen to Ben know that he has surrendered to Keamy?
  7. Everyone all spread out across the island … and the frieghtor … Aaron and Sun are on the ship; Kate and Sayid are in the jungle; Hurley is with Locke at the Orchid; and Jack is with Sawyer and Lapidis at the helicopter? How will they all make it out of there and end up becoming the Oceanic 6?
  8. Richard and The Others have surrounded Kate and Sayid … why, what do they want with them .. and how will they escape. How is this Richard? It’s killing me …
  9. Previews for the season finale, Part 2 of this episode look fantastic … I see Kate and Sawyer on the helicopter, looking into each others eyes like they are going to die/or were still in love or something … does Sawyer die to save Kate? I thought he wasn’t ever going to leave the island?
  10. What will happen to everyone else? Juliet, live or die? Do Daniel and Charlotte get to get it on? What about Asian Ghost Whisperer? And, like, everyone else? Who are the other two survivors that Jack keeps talking about? We know it’s not Jin … is it John Locke and Michael? And what about Ben?

LOST episode “Cabin Fever” sheds insight into John Locke

Poor John Locke. Always the loser. Always the underdog. Tonight’s episode shows us how John finally gets his moment to shine. To earn the respect of his peers, to finally be that high school quarterback who wins the game. Here is some great moments from tonight’s episode “Cabin Fever.:

  1. In a flashback we see a young pretty girl named Emily get hit by a car while 6 months pregnant. Her mother was yelling at her, as she was running to meet her older boyfriend. Both she and the baby survive. She names the baby John and abandons him at the hospital. We hear a nurse comment how this baby was a miracle baby, who he as the youngest preemie ever to survive. Then we see Dr. Richard Alpert, and the nurse assumes he is the bastard child’s much older father. Even though it is around 1950, Richard looks the exact same age.
  2. John is home with his adoptive family when Dr. Richard Alpert comes to visit him again. Richard runs a special school for gifted children. We see a creeping picture mini John Locke has drawn of what looks like Smokey from “The Island” killing a man. Richard pulls out a bunch of crap for John to pick an item that belongs to him, and John picks the big knife, which was obviously not his. Richard leaves in disgust.
  3. We see a teenage John Locke stuffed into a locker, and saved from his nerdy teacher. The teacher tells him about a science summer camp in Portland run by a company named Mittelos Bioscience headed by no other than Dr. Richard Alpert. Hmmmm ….. John tells the teacher he’s into sports and not science and gets downright nasty saying something like “Don’t tell me who I am/or what to do.” (I’ve got Bronchitis tonight people, so I can’t remember every detail.) He refuses to go. So twice he refuses to go Richard.
  4. John is at his Physical Therapy place when the orderly strikes up a conversation with John, and tells him how he survived that fall, etc. Tells him to go to Australia and go on a walkabout. Discover himself. Tells him how he did it himself, and he changed. And this man promised John they’d meet again. This man was … not Richard, but that black man that visited Hurley at the mental home .. and the man who was Naomi’s boss, the man working for Mr. Widmore, Matthew Abaddon.  Freaky Deaky people!
  5. It’s my conclusion that “The Island” brought John Locke to it, since he wouldn’t come willingly. And, after viewing the end of the episode, I feel that all of our major characters have good reason to be on that plane as well. We all know this. But I’m getting too far ahead of myself….
  6. John has a dream while searching for the cabin . He meets a man named Horace, who is cutting down trees. He tells him he’s been dead for twelve years. And he starts bleeding from the nose. Soemhow, John wakes up and realizes what he has to do. He takes Hurley and Ben to the mass grave of the DHARMA Initiative, and starts digging around in the grave. He finds the dead body of Horace, and pulls out a map to the cabin. What is weird is that Horace had a mathmatition patch on his shirt. Even weird, I thought, was why was a mathmatition chopping down trees. And that is when the thunder bolt hit me hard. Horace is Horace Goodspeed, of Horace and Olivia Goodspeed, the couple who help Ben’s parents in the woods, and ultimately give a job to Ben’s father Roger, which brings Ben to the island. Interesting, right? I’d say so. So “The Island” found Ben as well.
  7. Martin Keamy, the nut job back on our boat the Kahana, gets a sos signal from our gang at the beach saying that the doctor washed up on shore with his throat cut. Later that night, as Keamy goes nuts and kills the captain, he also becomes suspicious of the doctor, and slits his throat, and throws him overboard. No need to be suspicious, that was just the weird time travel thing “The Island” has going on. Keamy forces Frank to fly them back, and Keamy plans on torching “The Island.” Frank drops a bag to the gang on the beach, and it has that tracker mechanism going off inside of it. Jack decides it means for them to find the pilot.
  8. John, Hurley and Ben finally find the cabin. Ben wont go it, and he laments that Jacob/The Island was done with him, after giving him a spinal tumor and killing his daughter Alex. He waits outside, and Hurley splits a candy bar with him. A great comic moment.
  9. John doesn’t find Jacob in the cabin; instead it’s Christian Shephard and his daughter Claire. Who looks weird and has a double chin. Huh? Christian tells John not to mention that Clarie was there with him, and that the baby didn’t belong in the cabin and that he was where he needed to be. He tells John to ask the one important question … and … John asks “How do we save “The Island.” You see where its all going on from here.
  10. Next week’s episode looks fantastic, we see someone in a ship say “They are calling you the Oceanic 6.” OMG, how does it happen? How do Kate, Jack, Aaron, Sun, Sayid and Hurley all get off “The Island?” Wait, is it by the boat that Sayid has taken from the Kahana? Or does the pilot come through and save some of them? Will Desmond’s prediction of seeing Claire get on a helicopter come true? Or was Charlie’s death senseless? Damn, I’m so sad to think that this is the beginning of the end for LOST!

Oh, and this will freak you out …

Abaddon (Hebrew:אבדון,Avaddon – destruction, abyss) , in demonology, was chief of the demons of the seventh hierarchy. He was called The Destroyer and, in the Book of Revelation, St John called him the King of the locusts (Rev 9: 7-11).

Until next week,

The Girl from the Ghetto w/Bronchitis…..

David Cook murdered Baba O’Reilly – Why?

All I have to say is that David Cook murdered one of my all time favorite concert songs experiences. For proof, see my previous Top 10 Concerts in my Lifetime post.

How are Idol fans still voting for him? He’s so stupid and arrogant. And he rips off other singers styles of retro songs. Bastard. I hope he goes home tomorrow.

David Archuletta, bring it home for mama!
