Old Orchard Cranberry Naturals™ Review & Giveaway - 2011 Holiday Gift Guide

Last month, Old Orchard, the Michigan manufacturer of Cranberry Naturals™ sent me the following items: 2 bottles of Cranberry Naturals™, several VIP FREE product coupons to donate to charity and distribute in this giveaway, and an organic cotton/bamboo t-shirt, which I happily donated to charity. If you haven’t heard of Cranberry Naturals™, then let me tell you about the all-natural, reduced-calorie juice drink, which is one of the last items I will be featuring in my 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.

As my husband and children are basically Cranberry juice addicts, we were all excited to taste this new juice product. Cranberry Naturals™ contain 30% fruit juice, and is naturally sweetened with a blend of real sugar and Truvia® stevia-based sweetener. They come in six great flavors, each with just 70 calories per serving: Cranberry Raspberry, Cranberry Pomegranate, Classic Cranberry, Cranberry Apple, Cranberry Blueberry, Cranberry Grape. According to the manufacturer, these products also do not contain HFCS, artificial colors or flavors.

 

We were sent the Cranberry Apple and Classic Cranberry flavors. I used the bottle of Classic Cranberry to make a fantastic punch for my family last week, which of course was a big hit with everyone. We also tried the Classic Cranberry juice before adding it to the punch, and everyone thought it was quite tasty. The Cranberry Apple juice is also very good, and I’d be willing to buy both of these flavors for my family to drink again.

Here’s my Fruity Holiday Punch recipe:

• 1 container (12-16 oz.) of frozen Orange sherbert
• 6-12 oz. of Sprite (or 7-Up)
• 1 bottle (64 oz.) Cranberry juice

Just dump the sherbert into a punch bowl, and pour both the Cranberry juice and Sprite on top of it. Since I don’t like using ice cubes in anything (I know that’s weird, lol!), I just put my punch in the fridge for a few minutes before serving. We had left overs, since I wasn’t going to let the kids overdose on punch before bed, and our punch and sherbert kept for the next 2 days. You can add your favorite run or vodka to this punch recipe, or even fruit slices (perhaps you can even freeze them into your own ice cubes?) to this easy and festive punch. Trust me, this is an old and beloved recipe, and you are sure to have a hit at any holiday party or gathering when you serve this punch.
