A few months ago I was contacted to do a book review on You Lost Him At Hello by Jess McCann. I was flattered, of course, and a few weeks later I received the book, and I read it while traveling to New York on Thanksgiving day. It was an easy read, I’d say a darn good travel book.
Who is Jess McCann, and why did she write a book? She’s a young hot blonde who is a Saleswoman and a Reality Show contestant, and she uses her sales techniques to teach you how to get and keep a man. Now, The Girl from the Ghetto is a married lady who has a very handsome and good man, but I still found the book refreshing and it had some tips for those single gals out there.
Basically, the book tells you to approach dating like a sales person. YOU are the product and YOU need to sell yourself. She has quite a few good tips, and here are a few for a taste of the book:
- No drinking on a first date.
- No putting out in the beginning.
- No drunk dialing up the guy your dating.
- Its not a game, its a strategy.

Hot blonde?
But, that’s how I landed my man:
#1 drinking on a first date. -CHECK!
#2 putting out in the beginning.-CHECK!
#3 drunk dialing up the guy your dating.-CHECK!
Hmph….. I kid. I kid. Although, I’m sure I was drunk more times than not. Hey, sounds like a good book- thanks for sharing
You know, I was drunk upon meeting my hubby, and he says once I sobered up, I was pretty interesting! Luckily we had a good travel talk a few hours later when I wasn’t so wild. We met at a MSU tailgate party and I was wrestling some dude. Ha ha ha …
In two weeks, its my sixth anniversary and Im not ashamed to say that I broke number one on our first date, which led to breaking number two. I drunk email, though, I dont drunk dial. LOL
Vinyl – I think many people break that rule, lol.
No drinking on the first date? Really?
