This is why I love the internet! I read an article today on how to find out if your friends are NARCISSISTIC based by their FACEBOOK & MYSPACE pages. Not only can we spy on people, and learn just about everything from their sex lives, to their high school crush, to their every thinking thought, but now we can find out if they are Narcissistic.
Not sure what that is? Narcissistic people (Narcissism) are Self Adoring; Vain; Selfish; Excessively egotistical; Conceited; or Exsecessive self love, based on a person’s ego. Excessive Narcissim actually is a personality disorder.
Now that you know what it is, here’s how you can recognize it: The more friends a person has on their site, the more narcissistic they may be. More comments, possibly more narcissism. By having numerous shallow online “friendships” this correlates to the real world – that a narcissistic person will also have shallow relationships in their personal lives. Friendship to a narcissistic person is using that person for their own advantages. They may be charming, but they don’t give a damn about you, just how you can help them!
Also, Narcissistic people use more glamourous main (Default) photos, while regular people just use snapshots.

This is funny but sadly it’s probably got a lot of truth to it.

Oh thank goodness! My MySpace is the total opposite of what you described. I was worried for a minute! Not really…:D I’m pretty down to earth. Interesting though!

Funny all the narcissists worried they are narcissists in this comments section who are clearing themselves based on some relatively limited observations of narcissist’s characteristics. LOL! Only a narcissist would want to clear themselves as such, and then make a comment they are free and clear.
