The Girl from the Ghetto

Sorry about no new posts, but …

I’m still really sick … my head is spinning, I’m dizzy as hell, and I just slept 15 hours, which I haven’t done in like two years. I’m so sick to my stomach right now, I have no idea how I’m driving to my pedicure appointment in a few minutes …

Hell, last night I only ate 1/2 my steak and sweet potato … a sure sign of illness, as I didn’t even have an appetite for it. None of my doctor’s appointments are until a few weeks from now, and I have no idea how I’m going to work with the spins! I feel bad about not posting anything funny or good, but I have ideas, just not able to sit up and type for too long.

Ok, I still have abnormally low AST levels, high levels of ESR (Sed Rate) and low MCH levels in my recent blood work, plus a positive Rheumatoid factor. What frigging disease do I have that makes me anemic, have a vitamin b12 definciency, and positive for RF? Is it Lupus? That’s the type of specialist I’m seeing at U-M in mid August?

Oh, gosh, girlfriend, I sure hope it is not Lupus. Like you need one more thing. Take care of yourself and rest, if you can. Did your FMLA get approved? Can you take sick time without jeopardizing your job? Rest!

I’m really bad with all the acronyms and don’t understand much of what they mean. I just hope that you feel better soon. It sucks to not feel good. Hang in there girl.

Little Miss - Got the new and improved FMLA paperwork filled out by my dr’s attorney. Their office can’t believe my boss refused the last one. Gonna turn it in tomorrow … have to be able to have it approved, have way too many appointments and procedures to still undergo. I hope it isn’t Lupus, either!

Joan - me neither, spent all day Friday looking up all that stuff. It just means I have an inflamation/infection in my body, and for what ever reason, have always had anemia, and now this potassium and vitamin b 12 deficincies … probably due to the auto-immune diseases …

Raandme - Sometimes I wonder if I’ll end up on Mystery Diagnosis … I think I’m just not going to the right Rheumatologist. hopefully by the end of summer I will know what’s up!

Ugh, being dizzy is AWFUL. Sometimes prescription medicine can do that to you too. One time a doctor put me on a prescription med when I was sick, and I had to take it for about a month. Getting off it was HELL. The dizziness was so awful I was basically bedridden for another 3 weeks. So much for medicine helping!

Dube - It has been going on long before I’ve been taking meds .. and I stopped taking them for 2 weeks just in case …

Hiya! Just wanted to say that I have read Louise Hays Book ‘ Heal your Body’, and in fact, it is in front of me now! So I will tell you what she recommends as daily affirmations for RA ( I have it too)
Louise believes we have RA because, in her words….” Deep criticism of authority. Feeling very put upon”
Daily affirmation you can say as many times as possible …..” I am my own authority. I love and approve of myself. Life is good”
Take care, and I hope all goes well for you. :)
