HR denied my first FMLA letter … not filled out in complete. My dr’s office is full of a bunch of boobs. Wrote out the entire thing for them and my Rheumatologist Dr so I can get this shit done right. I have until Monday, and it’s a holiday weekend. Wish me luck on that! It’s 1:45 am currently… and I also had my cystoscopy today, which hurt like hell. Bastards! No tumors, but they are referring me to the Chairman of Urology @ Beaumont. Oh oh …
Today, since it’s July 2nd is my 2nd wedding anniversary. I’ve had no time to even fill out my card for him and had to leave a sticky note promising gifts and steak dinner (Home-cooked) in the pm. I feel so horrible … but I have been writing medical shit since 8 pm, and before then it was Partylite crap, before then shopping at the mall, before then the surgery, and before then work for 8 hours. I’m so tired I could puke right now!

Um, check out the laws. I’m not sure they can deny you FMLA. It’s the law. If you qualify - been there over a year, have the required medical reasons, and a doctor’s note or whatever, they have to let you have the time off. Don’t go just on my word, but check out the government’s site here: http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/benefits-leave/fmla.htm
Sounds like they’re trying to get around it somehow. I don’t trust any HR department to do the right thing for an employee, and I used to work in them for many years. They are corporate whores, in my opinion.

It never even went to HR, my boss was the one who typed up a memo. Believe me, my doctor’s office is furious with him. All I can say is my boss is trying to mess with me. Jerk!

Oh you poor girl - you sound beat. I hope you’ve had a chance to rest and feel yourself again. And that you and your hubby were able to have a nice anniversary celebration. Have a good and relaxing 4th of July weekend.
