I love quotes, they always pick me up when I’m in a funk. Back in happier times, (AKA previous employment) I’d surround my cubicle with great quotes to inspire me and my office friends. Now that I have sold my soul and work for the government I fell out of the habit. Can you imagine the outrage if I put up this quote?
When people around you can’t even appreciate your Dwight Schrute bobble head or your vintage Han Solo/Star Wars postcard, why bother with quotes?
I hope you all can appreciate and be inspired by these little gems I share with you tonight!
- “I must be cruel only to be kind; Thus bad begins, and worse remains behind.” William Shakespeare
“Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.” Unknown
“Now, a question of etiquette - as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch?” Tyler Durden
“Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity. ” Unknown
“It is hard to tell if a man is telling the truth when you know you would lie if you were in his place.” H. L. Mencken
“I generally avoid temptation unless I can’t resist it.” Mae West
“I am free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally.” W.C. Fields
“Never pick a fight with an ugly person, they’ve got nothing to lose.” Robin Williams
“To those of you who received honors, awards and distinctions, I say well done. And to the C students, I say: You, too, can be president of the United States.” George W. Bush
“He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.” Winston Churchill
