So, FINALLY, I have the energy/strenght/time/passion to blog about my trip last month to Boston.

I loved the city, loved the food, loved my hotel, loved the Ben and Jerry’s next door,
loved the sites, and LOVED LOVED LOVED going whale watching, even though it was freezing!
Let me back it up and start at the beginning. First of all, I must say traveling with leg braces sucks. I got stuck going through security and got padded down completely (And boy, they really feel you up!) every time. Thank goodness I roll early so there wasn’t any time problems missing flights, etc. But I hate the fact that from now on further I will have to be padded down every single time I ever travel. At least I snuck in all kinds of extra liquids in my carry ons because I KNEW that they wouldn’t spend time going through my bags since my braces were gonna set off the metal detectors. So, a small success on my plan. First and maybe only time in my life I haven’t ever checked luggage.
As soon as we arrived, we got to the hotel, checked in, dumped out bags, and rode the Old Town Trolley. When it’s sunny, I have learned you stay outside to take pictures, no matter how tired you are. We stayed @ the Boston Park Towers and it’s the triangle hotel in the center.
We took the trip around the city, learning the lay of the land. It’s so weird to me that Boston has grave yards right up to the sidewalk.
But going past them all was interesting.
We were starving, as of course all the airlines give you is now 1/2 can of coke and a small biscuit. Even though we changed restaurants twice, it was worth the wait. Had the 2nd best asian salad of my life @ the California Pizza Kitchen. (#1 was in Toronto a fews years back. I stilll dream of that salad …)
We saw all your typical sites, as well as plenty of historical ones, as Boston is a great town to just walk and explore.

It’s not every day you run into Scientology protestors:
We enjoyed everything we did, especially doing the Freedom Trail Walk and seeing Bunker Hill. We even rode the T to Harvad. Our time went quick, but we had fun and I’d love to go back again and see more of the coast.
Best part: Whale Watching. Went out the first day of the season.

Awesome pics! Thank you so much for sharing with us. The cemetary shots are too cool. I love reading headstones. (Kind of sad, but I often sit and wonder what kind of person they were.)

Big A -You have a nice day, too … Hubby was mad I broke your code before him, hee hee …
Betme - My body sucks, but hey, I guess it could be worse. I love to check out headstones, and had so many more pictures I could have thrown in. But I never have enough time to blog like I want to.

It sounds like you had a good time in Bean Town. The photos were great. Whale watches are so much fun. I love to go to old cemeteries. I used to do gravestone rubbings years ago. I’ve never seen a Scientology protester. Very interesting. There’s a lot of history in that city and the surrounding towns. Did you get down to Plymouth at all to see the Rock and The Mayflower?

Joan- No, we didn’t get to Plymouth Rock. Maybe next time?
