Are you ready to go shopping people? 
Spend, don’t save, and you’ll help the economy! (Or at least that is what “The Man” is telling us to do. I was so excited to get my stimulus check last week … it really does pay to do the direct deposit thing. I wondered what everyone plans on doing with their checks, and would like to hear your thoughts and plans here.
My family is using ours to vacation in Washington D. C. this summer, so we can check out out government at work. And visit our friend who lives nearby as well. Of course, we will be driving, so I’m sure the largest part of our share will go to gas stations during our 10 hr drive.

My daughter got a nice sized check last week - married with kids. However, I got almost nothing because last year my adjusted gross income was over the limit for a full-size check, and I guess I’m lucky I got anything. Just because I made a lot of money last year doesn’t mean I’m not in a world of hurt this year. Mine - the measly $171 I did get - is going to pay bills. I guess that’s better than a kick in the ass.

Well…of course mine was short 300 dollars since I mistakingly put the wrong SS# for my daughter….and although they corrected my original return and promised me the stimulus would reflect 3 kids…it DIDN’T…and of course I called and they say they can’t do a thing, but I MAY be able to correct it on my taxes next year…I swear my luck sucks! But on a good note…I still got 1800. And I didn’t do anything fun, just put it on the house…but the good news there…Now I’m down to 3,000 total…should be paid off next month!

I only get $300 because I am on disability. I got it yesterday. I bought a weight watcher’s cookbook and a weight watcher’s 3 month tracker for $16.00. I give most of my disability check to the household. I pay all the utilities. My daughter and her hubby pay the mortgage and buy all the food. My daughter will also buy me anything I need or ask for within reason. So I think I am going to start buying Christmas presents with it. I don’t want to have to ask my daughter for money to buy her a Christmas present.

I’m paying on some bills, putting some away for a raining day and reserving all my camping trips for the year!! whoo hoo

I’ll be buying a new mattress set! Our backs ache, and maybe it’s the mattress. The rest will go toward vacation.

Property taxes are due in November, right before Christmas!!! So that’s where mine will go. Im SAVING it til then
