So many things to celebrate tonight! We learned so much again on this episode of LOST. Here are my top 10 moments from tonight’s episode “Something Nice Back Home.”:
- Jack and Kate are together, off the island, and for a few days, were happy. Jack even proposes to Kate and she says yes. But of course, he gets his evil drunk rage on and “fricks” it up by pushing Kate to tell him what she was doing behind his back.
- Kate fulfills her promise to Sawyer by finding Cassidy, the last woman Sawyer conned and who landed him in prison; also the woman that he had a daughter with named Clementine. Kate was on this errand, to give Clementine money, when Jack found out about it and started a horrible fight in which he tells her “she’s not even related to Aaron,” which, of course, Aaron overhears. BYW I love that Aaron had a Millennium Falcon toy on the counter. (Star Wars, people, star wars …)
- Claire goes missing! And Aaron is let alone. And, mother of god, it is confirmed that her dad and Jack’s dad are one and the same, and that he is on the island … Remember a few episodes back when he was spotted in Jacob’s rocking chair in the cabin? Where did he take off to with Claire, and why would she leave her baby alone in the jungle.
- Jack has surgery. Juliet and Bernard operate on Jack and all is well. Just before Bernard knocs Jack out, he tells him to dream of something nice back home. So, was Jack really dreaming about proposing to Kate, or what?
- Rose brings up a great point to Bernard - “People get better on this island, not worse.” So, why is Jack sick? Rose’s cancer is gone, and John Locke is no longer paralyzed. So why does Jack have a bad appendix?
- Jin and Sun rock, they are such the power couple these days. They don’t trust Daniel and the sassy redheaded scientist, and even Jin catches on that our sassy red head understands Korean. He threatens to break Daniels fingers one by one if she doesn’t get Sun off the island, and folks, this is how we know that she is saved.
- Jack visits Hurley in a flash-forward and Hurley freaks him out when he says that Charlie wants to tell him Jack shouldn’t raise Aaron. And that someone from the island will be visiting him … and Jack’s dad appears before him at the hospital. What is the deal with Jack’s dad? It’s killing me. Perhaps he was a part of The Hanso Foundation ….
- Juliet is still a bitch, and tells Kate about her kiss with Jack. Even though she plays it off by telling Kate that Jack was trying to prove he wasn’t in love with Kate, still, Juliet has become very bitchy after all these years being on this evil island.
- Asian ghost whisperer works overtime and discovers the bodies of Carl and Rousseau. He freaks out Claire, and all of a sudden those men who shot up The Others camp come running out of the jungle. Thankfully they weren’t spotted, or were they? It seems like Claire’s disappearance might be related to that dude from the ship with the crazy eyes who killed Alex, Ben’s daughter last week.
- Preview from next week show us that John Locke finally reaches The Temple and meets a dude who has been dead for twelve years. WTF? It’s not Jacob, is it?

GREAT post here. I had not put together the information about Kate going to meet the last person Sawyer conned and giving money to Clementine. WOW! That is a really great catch. I’m trying to remember which epi it was from. I might need to rewatch!
I’d be like Juliet if I’d been stuck on the island with stalker Ben too.
Rose’s question was a GOOD one. She was healed. Locke was healed. But Jack got sick. And Ben’s had a tumor. Why weren’t they healed? Come to think of it, why wasn’t Boone healed too? Are you only healed if the injury/sickness is something you have *before* you end up on the island?

Juliet wasn’t being a bitch to Kate when she informed her of the kiss. It was to gauge Kate’s reaction. Since she saw that Kate was happy to hear that Jack was only trying to prove that he doesn’t love her by kissing Juliet, she realized that she had better leave the two of them to be with each other since it’s what they both want. Juliet however has feelings for Jack. If Kate were to have brushed it off, then it’d mean that Juliet was free to be with Jack without causing any unnecessary drama.

Dube, thanks a lot. and thanks for the link, too. It’s so hard to catch everything from LOST, right? She made that promise to Sawyer the last day she was @ the Others camp in bed to Sawyer, just before she came back to the beach.
Joan, I didn’t get a good enough look at the guys face. I know Ethan so well because it’s Tom Cruise’s cousin …. I am not sure ….

Ethan is Tom Cruise’s cousin? I never knew that. This is where my memory fails me. Who the hell is Radzinski? I had also forgotten about Kate’s promise to Sawyer. Thank goodness for your blog.

Yes, OMG, you didn’t know that? Radzinski was the guy who was in the brigg with Desmond and Sayis on the ship. The one who died, the communications officer.

Alright, Girlfromtheghetto - First off…Love all your pop culture shizz (not just Lost) But…
If Kate delivers a message or money to Clemintine - and I agree with you, that’s what it should be (why can’t she tell Jack that?)
But, Kate will realize she knows Clemintine ’s mommy (as they “conned” together for a brief while) and couldn’t that get Kate into trouble. Or are they setting it up to bring it all back around?
