Had a bad day …

You ever wake up and your day sucks from the get-go?  Oh man, I am so ready to put this day to rest.  I wake up, late, as per usual.  I hit snooze until 7am, which means I have 20 minutes to get ready, which is impossible.  Luckily for me I own lots of sweaters, I apply make-up on my drive in (Just at stoplights, don’t go crazy on me) and even though I have bangs, I rarely blow dry my hair.  So, yes, I look like crap at work.  Oh well.  People are evil there, so why do I care what I look like to them?  Anyhoo, my day’s highlights are this:

  1. I had to find an interpreter today for someone at work.  Don’t ask.  Never got one, it’s a huge deal, but it’s not my fault, and I’ll have to try again tomorrow …
  2. A co-worker quit last Friday, after only giving a 75 minute notice that she was quitting.  This means the two people who just quit last week won’t get replaced, ever again, so we are all forced to do more work for no raise again this year.  I know, I have a good job, but raises are nice when everything costs more these days.  Extra stress = extra pain in my body.
  3. My unloader braces finally arrived, and after rushing to the hospital to be fitted they discover 1) They are missing my script; and 2) Whoops, somehow one of the braces was the wrong size.  IT’S IMPOSSIBLE for me to get time off during work.  So I’ll have to try again next week.
  4. Almost ran outta gas on the way to the hospital.  I hate how my tank  goes from 1/4 to empty in  5 minutes.
  5. This means for the 2nd day in a row I had to miss lunch, which is horrible.
  6. I had 2 MRI’s scheduled tonight at the hospital, so I decided to stay out.  So I was forced to shop for what I like to call “old lady shoes.”  The sad news- I couldn’t find any in my size.
  7. I found out that part of my spine MRI’s were to hunt for tumors.  Since I’m insane, now I have to be worried for the next couple of days.  Let’s just hope for spinal fusion over a tumor!
  8. Of course, some old crush of mine from 11 years ago was the one administering my MRI.  And I looked like crap.  I always look like crap when I run into people, and I hate it.
  9. I missed 2/3 of American Idol, but after watching the end recaps, I’m glad that I did.  It looked like most of the people were horrible.  David Cook seemed to give the best performance.
  10. If you are going to post internships, and you write down flexible hours, nights and weekends, you better mean it.  I’m tired or applying for even volunteer positions and getting turned down.  It’s hard enough searching for employment, but I’m putting my foot down on dumb volunteer organizations!  Damn!
