You are in for a real treat here. Patti Stanger (Or, Man Face, as I like to call her) is the founder of The Millionaire’s Club, which is based out of Los Angeles, and finds rich bachelors women to date. It’s on Bravo on Tuesdays at 10pm. You have to watch it once to believe it. Man Face is the reported “expert” on fixing up spoiled man-child bachelors with semi-skany women.
The shows website boasts that they have over 10,000 women eligible for these bachelors, but after viewing a repeat episode last night, I’d tell these men to look elsewhere. I saw a woman at one of the date parties who Man Face refered to as “brillo hair” and another who was old enough to be my mother attempting to get hair extensions so she’d be more “date-ready.”
Whew, this show stinks, but it’s almost fun to watch it’s what I like to call “Good-bad tv.” The men always pick the hottest bleach blonds with implants and lip-injections from the date parties. Also fun to watch is the show employs the follwoing staff to help the create the perfect match : A psychologist, a hypnotherapist, a relationship counselor, an image consultant, a date coach, personal trainers, hairstylists, plastic surgeons, and of course a dentist.

Where do they get these millionaires?? Even man face Patti believes, to this day, that French born Julien was not really a millionaire. Supposed Las Vegas real-estate expert Paul Murad (a weird sort of Anthony Robbins wannabe IMO) comes across as a self-promoting creep and general all around phony. Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger seems to read Paul Murad correctly as a pompous, arrogant, social climber right from the start. How much wax did the beauticians have to use to get rid of Paul Murad’s uni-brow? And what about his back? I have seen Paul Murad on the Las Vegas news crying about a casino being built that is going to ruin his million dollar view of the Las Vegas Strip from his Turnberry Towers condo. Its seems Paul Murad, a self professed real estate expert, bought a cheapo 5th floor condo right in front of a parking garage currently under construction. If anyone followed the real estate advice that Paul Murad outlines in his book ” The Manhattanization of Las Vegas” you’d likely be on verge of bankruptcy. Disclaimers notwithstanding, the book is pure Pump and Dump tapping into the greed of a bubble market frenzy. If Paul Murad truly believes all the B.S. that he shovels out in his own book, then it would be no suprise to me to hear that, he, like so many other real estate “investors” caught up in a bubble market, lost or simply walked away from his own real estate holdings. I predict Millionaire Matchmaker contestant Paul Murad’s next career move will be as one of those infomercial hosts huckstering cheaply-made gadgets that you don’t really need, and don’t really work too well. I love Millionaire Matchmaker.

Tonight’s episode with Peter (control freak) tai chi dvd millionaire was classic. Of course Peter dumped the social worker for the cheerleader bimbo model. He claimed that he fed 20, 000 families so you think that he would have had more in common with the social worker who also happens to be a Pilates instructor. Peter is a phony. The fratboy geek is theme that runs deep in this show. The very small sized Sextoy Dave got things rolling in the premiere episode but the siamese twin geeks Tai and German are even worse.

I can’t get enough of Millionaire Matchmaker. I think the show is great because many of these millionaires seem to appearing on the show solely to cultivate an ego driven image of themselves to the rest of the world. That image, so far, with this season’s contestants, seems to fall well short of what they, themselves, intend. Take Peter, he trys to present himself as this tolerant, charitable, spiritual zen-like being, (twice claiming/bragging that he fed 20,000 people). He is exposed, later (IMO), as a controlling intolerant hypocrite. Now I have no idea of whether or not his claim about feeding 20, 000 people is, in fact true, but he sure likes to brag about it.
The current Paul Murad controversy is highly entertaining. Anyone who has seen the episode of Millionaire Matchmaker with Paul Murad, can judge for themselves, whether or not, they think he is a self promoting creep. Someone’s lump of coal can be anothers diamond in the rough.

The person that appears to have the most serious insecurities and issues is Paul Murad himself. He seems so worried that women are interested in him only for his money. Maybe Paul Murad should work on his wooden personality and his overbearing interogative style. Paul Murad, sporting what looks like a waxed Soviet Era Leonid Brezhnev unibrow, reminds me of another famous unibrow Bert from Sesame Street. Bert has more personality though.

Surprise!! Surprise!!! Paul Murad takes his date to Vegas so he can hype-up the idea that he is some sort of Las Vegas Real Estate tycoon. He then calls Patti and feigns that it is very out of character for him, but he asked Sydney to marry him. What a calculating phony!!!Hype!Hype! Hype! Murad is very self-serving. This show reminds me of Elimidate. You’d have to be pretty stupid not to see through his act. Me, I’d rather date Grandpa Munster.

There have been alot of success stories of love at first sight. Lisa M is a hater and is very unhappy with her life. Get a prescription for PROZAC soon. I was delighted with the episode. Paul Murad claimed that he is currently developing $20million and $50million real estate projects in downtown Las Vegas on Millionaire Matchmaker. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, where are the construction sites located? Have any of these projects broken ground?

Tonya, I want to agree with you, and say that I do believe in a love at first sight. I am sure that it happens all the time. I do not believe that someone as cold, calculating, and manipulative as Paul Murad fell in love with Cidney at first meeting as he claims. Go to Bravo.com yourself and watch what Patti herself has to say about him. According to Patti, Paul Murad very aggressively hit on her assitant Chelsea while filming his episode, so he couldn’t have been that all that impressed with Cidney. Patti calls Paul Murad “Shady” which, to me, means that she feels he is dishonest. While at Bravo go ahead and read Paul Murad’s own “spin”on his experience with the show.

Great observation that there is no mention of Millionaire Matchmaker on Paul Murad’s cheesy website!!! Read his millionaire’s”spin” on the Bravo website where he seems worried about maintaining the respect that he believes he built up in the business community. Reading between the lines, it seems that he envisions the possibility of a potential backlash, given the fact that his “bride to be” was a nude Playboy model and his intial proposal was so obviously contrived and phoney.
You’d think if this clown was genuinely serious about finding a nice Jewish girl to have a family with, he’d be more private. He could have used Patti’s service privately and discreetly and not gone on the show.

I saw Paul Murad and Cidney appear on the Mike and Juliet show recently (along with Patty Stanger) promoting the show Millionaire Matchmaker. Paul said that ALL women were interested in men for— was their money. Aghast at his sexist comment, Cidney swatted Paul Murad in the leg. With such a dim view of women, it is no wonder that this guy is single. Paul Murad is a total DUD!!!

I continue to ask, what real estate projects has Paul Murad developed?? His image was carefully contrived for the Matchmaker Millionaire. There are images showing him looking out on a casino project called the Fountainblue trying to make it seem as if the project was his. It isn’t.There is also an image of him petting a cat trying to show him as an animal lover. Then there is the transgenerational Paul Murad. He gets on the phone and talks to his date’s mother and grandmother reassuring them that he’ll make sure Cidney is safe for the helicopter ride he has planned.This man is more artiface than substance.

Hey…About Paul Murad. I didn’t even know he was Jewish. Why do I say that??? Because I knew Paul Murad…when he was Murad..something something (last name I mean). When he first moved to the US he moved to Tulsa Oklahoma where I first met him. He was linked up with the transportation manager at Oral Roberts University and Murad was attending Victory High School a private Christian school in Tulsa. He also did some preaching gigs around Tulsa. So either he was Christian and then went back to his Jewish roots or he was a pertender to just get a couple of good Christian folks to pay his way. Is he a shiester or what??? I don’t know.

Paul Murad has been promoting a new edition of his book Manhattanizing Las Vegas. Why anyone would buy this book, or listen to this man’s advice on real estate is beyond me. It seems he’s still trying to hype vertical living in Vegas when people are walking away from their Las Vegas condos in unprecedented numbers. The condo-hotel idea has been a major flop. I heard Murad on a radio show, here in Los Angeles, pumping his crappy book. He seems to think there’s a big turnaround coming in a year. LISTEN MURAD—this was massive real estate bubble created by the Federal Reserve lowering interest rates below the rate of inflation. Even though its pretty clear that You (Murad) are full of hot air, there isn’t enough hot air, even between your ears, to fill this real estate bubble back up. Good luck on chasing the next bubble Tom Vu.

Paul Murad was on Melissa Chataigne’s OFF THE SUNSET STRIP in May 2008. Murad pleads with anyone in the listening audience, who might know Patti Stanger, to have her—”please return” his email. It seems he has had no contact with Patti since February and he needs her advice on what to do after his “breakup” with Sydnee ……Kinda of Strange ….don’t cha think??…..Didn’t this dope (Paul Murad) payout $20,000, or some other ridiculous amount of money, to have Patti guide him through a relationship– providing him (and the other millionaire contestant geeks who appeared on the show) with a psychotherapist, wardrobe makeover specialist, eye brow waxing expert etc…It begs the questions… Did Patti have a falling out with Murad? GftG—You never know what Murad has up his sleeve, so a spin-off isn’t out of the question. It would be interesting to see if he is brought back for season 2, but I think Murad played the card that he wanted to play, and a re-appearance would be more of a downside risk for him. It would make him seem very desperate which is something image conscious Murad doesn’t want to appear to be. Murad’s intention was to play into the every woman’s fantasy cliche of a Price charming declaring love at first sight ala Cinderella. And even though we, and a lot of other people know better, there are other women that bought into his B.S. method of operation.
